Six months ago I saw the great Sending Animals cabinet at Van Mij, one of my favorite shops in Arnhem [post]. Five month ago I made the Instagram picture of Floor´s Schleich animals. And the wallpaper animals by Inke I like for some years now.
This weekend while reading VK magazine I saw this picture of the Sending Animals by Seletti piled up as the animals in the famous book The Bremen Town Musicians and suddenly all the other pictures popped up in my head.

bike blessings #2

Today I went running and Floor joined me on his bike. When I made a picture of him on his bike I realized I made more pictures of my kids riding their bikes in front of or beside me on instagram and also sharing this earlier in a blogpost. Nice to keep making these pictures as they grow up. Just like sharing this on my blog as a bike blessing.

This week my bike blessing #2:

* Pip having her first lesson horseback riding which she enjoyed so much, just as a sleepover at her BFF this weekend who accompanied her at her first lesson
* baking apple pie with apples growing in our own garden; still so many apples left so we can bake many pies or make compote the next weeks
* starting to run again after my leg injury this summer; friday together with a friend and today accompanied by Floor on his bike
* catching up with friends I didn't visit for a long time, experiencing this long period of time with less contact in real life doesn't matter mutually if there is real friendship
* following so many inspiring blog-colleagues visiting the dutch living fair 'Woonbeurs'. Feeling sorry I couldn't be there myself, but getting inspired by all their pictures, while planning to actually having planned to visit the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven in october.

* on Pinterest I reached 9000 followers. Pinterest gives so much inspiration and it feels great to inspire so many other Pinterest-lovers
* I love keeping up a diary of my life in pics on Instagram and sharing this with 500 followers is so nice: thnx for following :)
* planning to change the follow buttons on my blog so you can link directly from the small buttons beside each other, but I don't know how. If you do, please let me know as a comment on my blog or by mail: metmelkensuiker@gmail.com
* following 4 kids at De Spelerij last wednesday while they were running around enjoying this great place to be for kids
and last not least:
* I followed my heart these three weeks off, experiencing I can rely on that far better than I ever did. A great blessing!

A blessing post on monday instead of on sunday. Because of having some weeks off, the days of the week seem to get a little bit messed up which feels like a blessing itself.
Just like:
* spending so much time with the kids, sometimes while catching up with my BFF or with a lovely friend at the edge of a swimming pool while enjoying the sun
* visiting the musical Sister Act with our eldest, not only watching a beautiful and funny musical but also his facial expression of admiration and impressions
* receiving nice requests for sponsoring, collaboration and give-aways on my blog: to be continued in the next weeks!
* and last but not least enjoying so much love with a capital L!

counting my loved ones twice

This week I:

* enjoyed some days off with the kids: their summer holiday finally started and we enjoyed time with friends and their kids, celebrated Sam's and Pip's birthday on sunday and went to our nearby beach a lot

* had such a lovely sailingtrip, realizing I had to count these days together twice; and 

* today I spent a nice spontaneous afternoon at Park Open in Sonsbeekpark with friends (you can still visit Park Open in august with live music on every sunday from 14.00 until 17.00 uur!) and had tapas outside at Goed.Proeven afterwards, while promising myself to visit the great shops in Klarendal very soon!

Realizing I didn't make pictures of all these nice moments this week, knowing my eyes were making pictures in my mind :)

insta-blessings

 A nice week with lots of mixed emotions, work, lots of family time and me-time:
 * Sam had some great hiphop-performances and it was so nice to see him shine on stage, watching his performance together with Pip en Floor. Leaving behind some great pink balloons :)
* Pip walked 5K on 4 days with school together with lots of other kids in Zutphen. Wednesday I walked alongside her, feeling so proud
* and today we welcomed our new kitten called Fee. She is so adorable and already a bit naughty at the same time. We loved her at first sight!

love wall blessings

A couple of weeks ago I rearranged our living room and last friday we replaced our TV so we can watch it sitting on our couch again. But it left behind an empty wall with big holes. And while we are gathering courage for painting our whole living room I made a temporary love wall with prints, postcards and drawings containing a heart. Not knowing it would be filled so fast on this mothersday :).
It was a lovely week with some pictures of it on instagram, including our love wall on the saturday evening.

Last monday our 16-year old black cat Puk died. 

Such a lovely cat. Adored by the children, who were carrying him around the house all day. 

We miss him so much.

Whatever happens or however I feel, every day there are so many blessings to count, like:

- Floor finishing his swimming course this saturday: so proud!

- the kids enjoying their 1th 'Koningspelen'

- working home a lot finishing my to-do-list, preparing for some days off in the two coming weeks

- receiving the invitation for the official opening of Femkeido interior shop, thnx Femke!. Visit her shop online or irl in Delft

- new details on our bedroom wall

- nice homemade give-away presents on Matz birthday party

- lots of sleepovers for the kids at the beginning of their vacation; and

- lots of love from marvellous friends!

It was a lovely sunny weekend watching Floor's football match on saturday morning, a sleepover at our house for Pip and her friend Nora, enjoying a lazy sunday with the first BBQ this year, together with friends and our kids. eating melted marshmallows for dessert.
